Obamacare has been an unmitigated disaster since day one. Skyrocketing premiums. Unaffordable healthcare. Reduced consumer choice.
In Virginia, we have been successful in blocking the expansion of Obamacare into our Commonwealth – and this is a fight I have been incredibly proud to help lead over the last five years. If you would like to join me in this fight, click here now.
Unfortunately it appears that part of our Republican delegation in Richmond is caving on the issue. Just like I did in 2013 when I opposed my own leadership on raising taxes, and more recently when I successfully pushed for the adoption of recorded votes in subcommittees, I am committed to standing firm on my conservative principles and fighting Medicaid expansion.
I say “No” to looking at other states who fail to balance their budgets as a model for Virginia to follow – as I did in the speech below.
I will stand against the expansion of Obamacare into Virginia. Period.
As your Congressman, I will stand against any efforts to preserve the failed principles of Obamacare and fight for a full repeal. We will bring freedom of choice, market principles, and reduced healthcare costs for all Americans.
